Western Michigan Adult & Teen Challenge in Muskegon, Michigan, seeks a Residential Program Intern to support day-to-day operations of our long-term recovery program. This immersive internship offers real-world experience in oversight, mentorship, and leadership from day one.

You will work alongside staff to manage check-ins, coordinate activities, lead small groups, supervise events, and assist with transportation and reports.

• Active Christian faith and willingness to adhere to WMATC's Statement of Faith.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student check-in procedures, including intake and unpacking.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing student phone calls.

• Supervise student store runs and one-day passes.

Founded in 1969, Western Michigan Adult & Teen Challenge is a nonprofit organization providing long-term residential recovery and life skills programming for adults in the Muskegon, Michigan area. Our work is rooted in structure, accountability, and genuine investment in the people we serve.

The Residential Program Intern plays a hands-on role in the daily operations of our residential program. This is an immersive, development-focused internship designed for individuals who want real-world experience in residential program oversight, mentorship, and leadership. You will work directly alongside program staff, supporting the structure and accountability that makes our program effective.

This is not a desk internship. You will be present, engaged, and trusted with meaningful responsibility from day one.
