Job summary

The Northeast Arc seeks a Residential Program Director to oversee day-to-day operations of assigned residences, ensuring policy compliance and DDS requirements while delivering quality living support and supervision to individuals with disabilities.

You will lead the Residential Team, coordinate staffing, maintain documentation, and participate in meetings. Strong communication, leadership, and commitment to respect and empowerment are essential.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA strongly preferred in business or related field.
  • HS Diploma or GED required with minimum three years' experience in human services.
  • Maintain certifications such as First Aid, CPR, MAPs, Vehicle Safety, Human Rights, Fire Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operation of residences and ensure policy and DDS compliance.
  • Provide quality living support and supervision to individuals with disabilities and staff.
  • Lead staff, facilitate meetings, and ensure accurate documentation and safety procedures.

Job Title Residential Program Director

Job Summary Oversees the day to day operation of the assigned residences including implementing agency policy and practice and ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements of the Department of Developmental Services DDS Fulfills programmatic responsibilities by providing quality living support and supervision to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities and staff The candidate will ensure that the Northeast Arc NeArc Residential Division reflects the mission statement and vision

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provides responsive effective residential support and leads staff in creating an atmosphere that places individual respect dignity and empowerment above all elseWork as part of the Residential Team including assisting peers as needed providing Residential Office Coverage and having a working knowledge of all Residential Homes and SystemsUtilize a PBS approach when working with staff and individuals including promoting the agency objectives related to personal growth community involvement and decision makingEnsure Residential Team Members are aware of daily schedule and staffing coverage Keep the team informed of any pertinent issues at the home and changes in status including providing clinical information to Weekend On Call team as necessaryComplete required documentation completely and accurately including ISP Documentation Health Care Records HCSIS Incident Reporting Weekend Notes House Profiles Vacation Memos Staffing Schedules and House Committee ReportsParticipate in Directors Meetings Clinical Meetings JAMM meetings QAs and other meetings as deemed necessary Participate in Agency training and Committees as assignedEnsure House Books and Systems are in compliance with Residential Standards QA Tools and DDS Survey and Certification including Fire Drill Logs Resource Manuals House Meeting Books Confidential Books Medical Books Money Books and Data BooksMaintain and follow a current safety plan including training staff conducting fire drills and reporting any issues Ensure minimum safety ratios are maintained at all timesHire organize and coordinate staff to meet the goals of the agency Facilitate staff meetings and provide on site supervision and support to staff Be approachable and responsive to staffComplete billing information payroll other documentation accurately and in a timely fashionHave a working knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office and Kronos
Requirements
  • BSBA strongly preferred HS DiplomaGED and minimum of three years prior experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities or within human servicesA desire to assist people in achieving their dreams and goalsMaintain certifications as required in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures including but not exclusive to First Aid CPR MAPs Vehicle Safety Human Rights and Fire Safety Maintain a valid Massachusetts drivers licenseMust be able to work at a deskcomputer in an office environment and also be physically able to provide direct support to individuals in their homes
