  • Must have a current driver’s license and insurance.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse cultural and socioeconomic characteristics; support Sanctuary Model and All Children, All Families framework.

Responsibilities

Locations include Outpatient Services located at 5th and Philadelphia in Covington, Kentucky and Grant County near Williamstown, Kentucky and residential facilities in Burlington, Kentucky and in Devou Park in Covington, Kentucky.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Position Summary:

The PRN On-Call Licensed Practitioner provides critical support following the use of emergency physical interventions in an inpatient residential setting. The licensed practitioner will be responsible for conducting debriefing sessions with associates involved in the intervention and performing an in-person, face-to-face assessment of the client. They will also be responsible for ensuring all required documentation is completed in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

This is a PRN on-call position, meaning availability during non-standard hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends, is required. The hours typically for weekdays are 5p-9a and weekends 9a to 9a. The practitioner will be expected to respond to emergency physical interventions, within an hour upon notification.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Respond to emergency physical interventions when called in for debriefing and assessment.
  2. Arrive promptly on-site after notification to conduct debriefs and assessments.
  3. Facilitate personal debriefing sessions with associates directly involved in the physical intervention.
  4. Provide emotional support and guidance to associates, focusing on processing the incident and discussing potential improvements in future responses.
  5. Conduct an in-person, face-to-face assessment of the client involved in the physical intervention.
  6. Evaluate the client’s physical and emotional well-being post-intervention.
  7. Develop recommendations for ongoing care or additional interventions, if needed
  8. Accurately complete all required documentation related to the physical intervention, debriefing, and client assessment in the EHR system.
  9. Ensure timely submission of reports following the intervention.
  10. Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to physical interventions and client care.
  11. Stay informed of best practices and ensure that debriefing and assessments are conducted following trauma-informed care principles.
  12. Be trained in JKM SCM ESPI Training
  13. Be trained and knowledgeable with the EHR systems.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Physical demands and work environment:
  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, kneel, squat, and hold objects or carry.
  2. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and sometimes move and/or lift up to 100 pounds in order to utilize Safe Crisis Management techniques.
  3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  4. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  5. The environment consists of indoor and outdoor activities with different temperatures.
  6. The stress level in this position is moderate to high.
