Job summary

IES is seeking a Plumbing Instructor to deliver classroom and hands-on plumbing training for employees in workforce development programs. You will cover plumbing fundamentals, code compliance, safety procedures, and licensing prep while aligning curricula with company standards and operational goals.

The role requires strong teaching, mentoring, and leadership skills, with experience in reading blueprints and coordinating with field personnel.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and installation practices.
• Ability to teach technical concepts in classroom and hands-on environments.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring trainees and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction for plumbing training programs and workforce development initiatives.
• Teach plumbing fundamentals, installation methods, safety procedures, code requirements, and industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans, instructional materials, practical exercises, and training documentation.
• Evaluate trainee performance through testing, demonstrations, hands-on assessments, and classroom participation.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and technical support to trainees and developing field employees.
• Maintain classroom, lab, and training equipment in safe, organized, and operational condition.
• Coordinate with operations leadership to align training objectives with workforce needs.
• Monitor attendance, training progress, certifications, and program completion records accurately.
