Job summary

InReach seeks friendly, caring individuals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Charlotte, NC group home. You will assist with meals, cleaning, personal care, and leisure activities, while documenting progress and ensuring safety.

A valid driver’s license is required to drive a full-size van. Part-time roles with afternoon shifts Monday through Thursday, 3pm–8pm, offering $15.00 per hour and opportunities for on‑the‑job training in a supportive residential

Qualifications

• Experience with I/DD or related care is preferred and verifiable.
• Valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required.
• Willingness to assist with meals, cleaning, and transport.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care and hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Document activities and progress.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.

What we need:

Friendly and caring individuals who work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) living in a residential home setting in Charlotte, NC.

What You'll Do:

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Documentation of activities.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.

Qualifications:

• Willingness to help others
• At least 6 months of previous experience (paid or volunteer) working with the I/DD population or experience relevant to the role; must be verifiable.
• A valid Driver's license
• A High School Diploma

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: Monday thru Thursday (3pm to 8PM)

Rate: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday thru Thursday

Location: Group Home located in Charlotte
