Job summary

InReach NC is seeking caring individuals to provide support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in a residential home setting in Charlotte, NC. The part-time role involves teaching meal planning, assisting with personal care, and facilitating leisure activities.

Applicants must have a high school diploma and a valid driver's license. The position offers up to 29 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm, at a rate of $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of previous experience (paid or volunteer) working with the I/DD population or experience relevant to the role; must be verifiable.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Documentation of activities.
• Help residents develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.

What We Need
