The Dr. Dennis Deer Community Justice Center in Chicago seeks a compassionate Residential Outreach Worker (ROW) for part-time 2nd shift to mentor young men ages 18-25, provide transportation, and help build a safe, structured environment.

You will collaborate with case managers, teach life skills, support meals and activities, and assist with safety plans, conflict mediation, and restorative justice initiatives while modeling respectful communication and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience working with high-risk or justice-involved individuals.
• Trauma-informed care familiarity is a strong advantage.
• Ability to engage youth and build trust.

Responsabilités

• Pre-Arrival Research and Preparation: Conduct thorough research on incoming participants to understand backgrounds, needs, and risks.
• Provide Mentorship and Daily Support: Build meaningful relationships and guide residents.
• Foster a Positive and Supportive Environment: Set up meals and teach life skills.
• Conflict Mediation and Safety Plans: Participate in mediations and develop safety plans.
• Help Residents Stay on Track: Provide transportation and support progress with case managers.
• Contribute to Team Success: Collaborate with staff and share insights.
