Job summary

Prospera Housing Community Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician II to perform a broad range of on-site maintenance tasks across our affordable housing portfolio. You will work independently and with a team to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems, fixtures, and appliances, ensuring units are safe and rental-ready.

You will follow safety practices, complete routine inspections, and assist with make-readies, while coordinating with contractors and reporting maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in property maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance tasks, including basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems with limited supervision.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Assist in training Maintenance Technician I staff.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Ensure safety regulations and building codes compliance.
• Complete unit make-readies for leasing, including move-out inspections and deep cleaning.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs.
