Job summary

Sarpy Chamber is seeking a seasonal Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader in Omaha to perform professional mowing and related lawn care tasks for clients. You will lead a small crew, meet hourly goals, follow safety guidelines, and maintain vehicles and equipment.

This role reports to the Lawn Maintenance Field Manager and offers hourly pay of 23.00–27.75, profit share, daily pay card, and a broad package of benefits including paid holidays, uniforms, boot reimbursement, Simple IRA company match,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years in residential lawn services.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on mowers and equipment.
• Driver’s license, clean record and ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and strong mobility.
• Reliable transportation to work and positive attitude.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• NE Pesticide Applicators License a plus.

Reports to: Lawn Maintenance Field Manager

Works closely with: fert. crews, irrigation team, supply yard team, mechanic, operations manager

Direct reports: 1-3

Typical Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-7:00pm (hours vary based on time of year); some weekends depending on weather and workload

Dress Code: uniform

Requirements

Desired Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3-year experience in residential lawn services such as mowing, trimming, edging and blowing.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on mowers and other equipment.
• Must possess a driver’s license, clean criminal record and have ability to pass a drug test.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Physically able to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
• Always maintain a positive and supportive attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
• NE Pesticide Applicators License a plus.

Summary

Summary: The Residential Crew Leader is a professional who is proficient in all aspects of lawn mowing & maintenance services and is highly detailed and quality focused. The crew leader’s main objective is to lead a crew of one to two team members to properly maintain properties while meeting or beating budgeted man hour goals. Crew leaders can work with minimal supervision and provide a safe environment for crew members & clients. Our lawn teams meet and operate by the standards and research provided by the University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension Office. Candidate will require minimal supervision and conduct all jobs in a safe manner and in accordance with our company core values.
