Job summary

Western Security Bank is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to develop and originate residential mortgage loan business in the Billings area. You will guide borrowers through the application and approval process, solicit loans, and collaborate with processing staff to ensure timely closings.

The role emphasizes compliance with regulatory guidelines, cross-selling of loan products, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years real estate processing, MLO and/or MLOA experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Marketing from a four-year college or university preferred.
• Equivalent education and work experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicits loans from realtors, builders, major employers, etc. and provides high-quality service to establish ongoing business relationships.
• Generates and fully completes mortgage loan applications and coordinates with processing/closer/underwriter to complete documentation for loan approval.
• Oversees the entire loan process from application through closing, ensuring all requirements are met and compliant with regulations.
• Analyzes loan requests for residential real estate loans and originates FHA, VA, and conventional loans.
• Maintains positive relationships with customers and participates in community events to enhance bank image.
