Job summary

First Hawaiian Bank is seeking an analytical, detail oriented Mortgage Loan Officer to join the Mortgage Banking Department. The role focuses on generating residential mortgage loan production through referrals, developer projects, and Home by Phone, using strong communication and sales skills.

The position requires MLO licensing within 30 days, and at least two years of related sales or banking experience, with a preference for a business degree.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) is required within 30 days of employment
• 2 years' relevant work experience in sales, banking, real estate, or business required
• Postsecondary degree in Business helpful
• Excellent communication and sales skills supporting the ability to generate loan volume
• Able to handle confidential matters judiciously
• Possesses good math, analytical and problem solving skills
• Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through
• Able to plan and organize
• Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
