Job summary

Consumers Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to guide members through residential real estate financing and loan origination. The role involves building relationships, meeting sales targets, and promoting additional credit union products to members and real estate professionals.

The ideal candidate has a proven sales track record, experience with Emcompass, and strong communication skills, with deep ties to the local community. A servant leadership mindset is valued in our team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Documented track record of sales through personal service.
• Ability to serve members on their schedule.
• Strong connections and deep involvement in the community.
• Ability to generate leads without warm referrals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve members with residential real estate financing.
• Originate mortgage applications eligible for sale to FNMA/FHLBI/USDA-Rural Development or Consumers Credit Union portfolio.
• Meet goals set for the position.
• Promote and cross-sell other products and services as appropriate to the member.
• Interview members and request information to complete loan applications.
• Keep interested parties informed of loan status from application to closing.
• Analyze member's financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of the loan.
• Call on realtors, builders, CPAs, CFPs, and other third parties to obtain referrals.
• Attend home mortgage functions and promote all products and services.
• Attend continuing education classes/seminars as directed by the department manager.
