Job summary

Traditional Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer in Louisville to initiate and manage mortgage applications, including purchase and refinance. You will interview clients, explain financing options, and assist with documentation while ensuring ATR compliance and timely closings.

Ideal candidates bring mortgage lending experience, an active NMLS, and strong analytical and communication skills to serve clients with confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of mortgage lending experience to include secondary market experience or a minimum of 5 years of banking experience.
• NMLS number is required.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and adhere to regulatory and risk management requirements.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining organized and professional reporting documents.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and resourceful in completing tasks accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Meets with and interviews potential and current clients to understand their lending needs, including first-time homebuyer mortgages and refinance of existing loans.
• Explains differences between financing options and prepares financing options on client specifications.
• Assists clients with mortgage applications, ensuring accuracy of documents and reviewing financial disclosures for pre-qualification.
• Reviews credit history and assesses repayment capacity per ATR requirements.
• Attends and manages the loan closing process.
• Maintains confidentiality and uses mortgage loan software for applications and disclosures.
