BestCare Treatment Services, Inc. is seeking a Medication Technician to work with RN/LPN in managing medications for residential clients and to assist with intakes, transfers and discharges.

You will maintain EMRs, coordinate care with PCPs, and support lab work and vital signs as part of daily duties. This role requires licensing credentials (CCMA/EMT, CMT), BLS/First Aid, and a valid Oregon Driver License; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CCMA or EMT certification.
• CMT certification required at hire or within 6 months.
• Current BLS/First Aid/AED certification.
• Current Oregon Food Handler’s Card (Residential).
• Valid Oregon Driver License and insurability.
• For individuals in recovery, 2 years continuous recovery required.

Responsabilités

• Manage residential client medications as prescribed per regulations.
• Prepare dosages and administer daily meds for clients.
• Update EMR with medication changes and prescriptions.
• Ensure clients take their medications and order meds as needed.
• Complete medication pre-authorizations as required.
• Administer controlled meds under Nurse supervision as permitted.
• Track medication inventory at intake and discharge.
• Conduct routine lab orders and collect samples when needed.
• Record vital signs, weights, and glucose monitoring.
• Coordinate care with PCP and arrange follow-up appointments.
• Assist with intake, transfers and discharge processes.
• Triages medical concerns and escalate to Nurse as needed.
• Document nursing notes in EHR and maintain clean records.
• Greet clients and communicate with Kitchen staff about dietary needs.
