Job summary

Benchmark Human Services in Farmingdale, NJ is seeking a Residential Manager to lead a group home and ensure safe, respectful supports for individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will coordinate staffing, schedule and attend appointments, mentor DSPs, monitor finances and meals, while advancing opportunities for community participation. Qualifications

• At least 3 years of management experience.
• At least 5 years experience working with developmentally disabled population in group homes.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid auto insurance and driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate individual served doctor's appointments.
• Assist in crisis situations.
• Assist in coordinating staffing coverage.
• Mentor Direct Support Professionals on how to work with individuals served.
• Monitor individuals served spending money and diet/meal plans.
• Develop rapport and provide a safe, caring environment.
• Supervise, support and train DSPs with the Program Coordinator.
• Document data showing individual goals and progression.
• Help find and participate in meaningful community activities.
• Participate in ongoing professional training.
