Job summary

Benchmark Human Services in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a qualified Residential Manager to lead a group home and support individuals with disabilities. This in-person role focuses on scheduling, care coordination, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Successful applicants will receive paid training to obtain required certifications while mentoring DSPs and coordinating staff coverage in a compassionate, community-based setting.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of management experience.
• Experience working with NJ Department of Developmental Disabilities required.
• At least 5 years working with IDD and/or DDD clients in a group home setting.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid auto insurance and driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate individual served doctors' appointments.
• Assist in crisis situations.
• Assist in coordinating staffing coverage.
• Mentor/teach Direct Support Professionals how to work with individuals served.
• Monitor individuals served spending money.
• Monitor proper diet and meal plan for person served.
• Protect and honor the rights of people with disabilities.
• Ensure a safe and clean home for people served.
• Develop a positive rapport while serving as a role model to create a safe and caring environment.
• Assist in supervising, supporting and training DSPs.
• Document data displaying the individual served goals and progression.
• Assist in finding and participating in meaningful community activities.
• Participate in on-going professional training.
• Other duties as assigned
