Job summary

Apis Services Inc. seeks a Residential Manager to lead a team across Philadelphia sites, ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for individuals supported by the program.

You will supervise Lead DSPs and DSPs, manage staffing and operations, ensure ISPs and treatment plans are followed, oversee documentation and budgets, and collaborate with program leadership to drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with adults in IDD/Behavioral Health/Mental Health/Substance Use and Recovery programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to all assigned site staff.
  • Conduct regular supervision meetings with employees to provide coaching, mentorship, skill development, and performance feedback.
  • Document performance concerns and implement improvement plans when necessary.
  • Manage staffing schedules, including coverage for call-offs, no-shows, and approved time-off requests.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and recommending qualified DSP candidates for hire.
  • Participate in program planning meetings, team meetings, and interdisciplinary meetings for individuals receiving services.
  • Develop, coordinate, and oversee monthly consumer activities and community engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with ISPs, treatment plans, and program goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned sites and residential units.
  • Manage, monitor, and reconcile site and consumer-related expenditures.
  • Ensure maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and overall condition of residential sites and program vehicles.
  • Report repair needs and facility concerns to Program Director or Assistant Program Director.
  • Monitor the completion and accuracy of required documentation, including: Daily logs, Medication administration records, Inventories, Incident reports, Assessments, Progress notes, Vehicle logs.
  • Communicate documentation concerns and compliance issues to program leadership.
  • Ensure the residence is prepared for licensing, regulatory, and quality assurance visits, including maintenance of consumer files and medication records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Residential Manager

Reports To: Program Director / Assistant Program Director

Position Summary

The Residential Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive environment that promotes communication, empowerment, well-being, and quality of life for the individuals supported by the program.

This role provides overall management and leadership for assigned residential sites and supervises all staff working within those locations. The Residential Manager directly supervises Lead Direct Support Professionals (Lead DSPs) and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), serving as a role model in job performance, professionalism, and interactions with consumers, families, and other professionals. A strong commitment to RHD's values and mission is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Staff Supervision
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to all assigned site staff.

Program Operations
  • Respond appropriately to crises and emergency situations, ensuring required notifications and incident reporting are completed.
  • Immediately report medical concerns to program leadership and/or the agency nurse.
  • Develop, coordinate, and oversee monthly consumer activities and community engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Individual Support Plans (ISPs), treatment plans, and program goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned sites and residential units.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Manage, monitor, and reconcile site and consumer-related expenditures.
  • Ensure the maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and overall condition of residential sites and program vehicles.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with adults in one or more of the following areas:
    • Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
    • Behavioral Health
    • Mental Health
    • Substance Use and Recovery Programs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulations, RHD values, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively supervise staff and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, electronic documentation, and timekeeping systems.
  • Ability to enter, retrieve, and maintain accurate records and data.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable personal vehicle with state-required liability insurance.
  • Successful completion of all required background and employment screenings, including FBI clearance when applicable.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent travel to participant residences and program locations.
  • Regular interaction with individuals receiving services in residential settings.
