Job summary

Idaho Youth Ranch is seeking a Residential Manager to join the opening of our 64-bed Residential Center for Healing and Resilience on the Hands of Promise campus in Idaho's Treasure Valley. You will recruit, train, and supervise residential staff while ensuring service plans are understood and executed across the youth programs.

The role involves coordinating staffing, managing on-call coverage with the clinical team, and contributing to a caring, trauma-informed residential environment.

Qualifications

• Be 25 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years of full-time experience in a children's residential care facility OR an Associate's degree with 2 years' experience OR a Bachelor's with 1 year in a children's residential treatment facility.
• A valid Idaho driver's license or ability to obtain within 15 days of hire.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, behavioral management techniques, and trauma-informed care approaches.
• Background in the treatment of adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise residential staff members, including direct care staff.
• Establish a schedule that ensures the best operation of the program.
• Ensure personnel know and understand the service plans of each child in their program.
• Support the Program Manager and clinical staff by covering on-call duties as assigned.

Must Haves:

• Be 25 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent and three years of full time experience in a children's residential care facility OR an Associate's degree and two years full time experience in a children's residential facility OR a Bachelor's degree and one year full time experience in a children's residential treatment facility.
• A valid Idaho driver's license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, behavioral management techniques, and trauma-informed care approaches.
• Background in the treatment of adolescents

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a residential facility in a managerial or supervisory role
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and licensing requirements governing residential treatment facilities

Our Residential Managers:

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise residential staff members, including direct care staff
• Establishes a schedule that ensures the best operation of the program
• Works to assure that personnel know and understand the service plans of each individual child in their program
• Supports the Program Manager, program and clinical staff by covering on-call duties as assigned

This position will work Tuesday - Saturday from 12pm - 8pm
