Residential Manager
PITT Care Services (PCS) is a provider of residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide safe, supportive, person-centered homes where individuals are treated with dignity, encouraged to make choices, and supported in becoming as independent and involved in their communities as possible.
PCS is looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Residential Manager to join our residential leadership team. The House Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of assigned residential homes (Baldwin Area), providing leadership and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and helping ensure that individuals receive consistent, high-quality care and support.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing employees, maintaining the home, solving day-to-day problems, and working directly with the individuals we support when needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the assigned residential homes.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming home environment.
- Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and ongoing support to Direct Support Professionals.
- Assist with staff scheduling and help ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
- Monitor employee attendance, performance, documentation, and completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Provide ongoing direction and feedback to DSPs regarding expectations and the needs of the individuals supported.
- Hold regular staff meetings to review household needs, individual progress, concerns, expectations, and upcoming activities.
- Ensure staff understand and appropriately implement each individual's Individual Support Plan (ISP), behavioral supports, medical needs, and established routines.
- Help ensure individuals receive consistent support based on their personal needs, preferences, and goals.
- Coordinate activities, outings, appointments, and opportunities for community participation.
- Encourage individuals to develop independence, make choices, build relationships, and participate in activities that are meaningful to them.
- Communicate professionally with families, Supports Coordinators, healthcare providers, Behavioral Specialists, day programs, and other members of the individual's support team as appropriate.
- Review staff documentation and help ensure records are complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
- Monitor the home for health, safety, maintenance, and compliance concerns and ensure identified issues are addressed promptly.
- Coordinate household needs including groceries, supplies, maintenance requests, and other routine operational needs.
- Respond appropriately to staffing, behavioral, medical, and operational concerns that arise within the home.
- Participate in team meetings and other meetings involving individuals supported when requested.
- Provide direct support to individuals when necessary to maintain appropriate coverage and ensure their needs are met.
- Work collaboratively with PCS leadership to maintain high-quality residential services.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by PCS leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism preferred.
- Experience in a Pennsylvania Chapter 6400 residential setting strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory, Residential Manager, Lead DSP, or similar leadership experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to supervise employees and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees, individuals, families, and members of the support team.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete and review electronic documentation.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks, clearances, and training requirements.

Schedule
This is a leadership position within a 24-hour residential program. The position will include regularly scheduled hours within the assigned homes as well as administrative responsibilities.
Some flexibility may be required based on staffing needs, appointments, meetings, emergencies, and the needs of the individuals supported.
