Job summary

GMH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Fayetteville, AR to support daily property upkeep and respond to work orders. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and includes hands-on maintenance of units and grounds, with rotating on-call and some weekend availability.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in maintenance, experience with plumbing/electrical/HVAC preferred, and HVAC certification preferred. A valid driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year maintenance experience.
• Maintenance experience in multi-unit complexes or hotels preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical and HVAC, preferred.
• HVAC Certification, preferred.
• Mechanical background, preferred.
• Good organizational and people skills.
• Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment.
• Must live within 30 minutes of property and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the daily operations of the property.
• Respond to Work Orders per company policy.
• Grounds and exterior upkeep, as needed.
• The Turn and Make Ready process.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections.
• Inspecting units for Move In readiness.
• Ensure company policy and state and federal safety and fair housing laws are adhered to.
• Hands on maintenance.
• Assists the Maintenance Supervisor to better the property and position through great ideas.
