Job summary

Hickam Communities is seeking a General Maintenance Technician in Honolulu, HI. You will perform maintenance across residential units, offices, and surrounding areas, handling plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs to ensure safe, quality service.

Responsibilities include responding to calls, updating work orders on mobile devices, and maintaining vehicles and inventory. Experience in a similar role and ability to work per deadlines are essential, along with English communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational or Technical training preferred.
• 1-3 years work-related experience required.
• Basic competency in carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Able to use a mobile device for apps, email and internet.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and complete COM work as assigned.
• Perform maintenance across rental units, offices, residential areas, grounds and parking lots.
• Repair/build and maintain building structures and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sanitary systems.
• Ensure safety and solicit favorable customer feedback via surveys.
• Update work orders with time, materials and notes on mobile devices.
