National Church Residences is seeking a dependable Part-Time Maintenance Technician in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves preventive and responsive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks within an apartment community.

Responsibilities include handling service requests, completing repairs, and assisting with turnovers and property improvements. On-call availability is required, with a monthly phone allowance provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 1–2 years of residential maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance repair.
• Strong troubleshooting, time-management, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to participate in on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
• Diagnose and complete maintenance repairs accurately and promptly.
• Respond professionally to resident service requests and maintenance emergencies.
• Maintain interior and exterior common areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Complete minor carpentry, painting, drywall, appliance, and general building repairs.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, inspections, and property improvement projects.
• Monitor supplies and equipment and assist with inventory management.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and reports.
