Job summary

Greystar in Tampa, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and emergency maintenance on building systems, equipment, and apartment homes, diagnosing issues and completing repairs. You will conduct preventive maintenance, respond to work orders promptly, prepare units for new residents, and keep common areas clean and safe, while maintaining records and following safety protocols.

The role requires teamwork with the property management team and a focus on resident satisfaction

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance for residential or commercial properties.
• Experience with Troubleshooting building systems and performing Maintenance & Repair on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
• Ability to implement Preventive Maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Knowledge of basic carpentry, painting, and minor construction techniques is beneficial.
• Understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and time management skills.
• Customer service mindset with effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance, HVAC, or related fields is a plus.
• Ability to lift moderate weights, perform physical tasks, and work on-call or flexible hours as needed.
