Job summary

Place 2B Properties is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to join our team servicing residential properties in the Salem/Keizer area. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities include handling electrical, plumbing, appliance, carpentry, and exterior maintenance, completing apartment turnovers on schedule, and maintaining a work order system. On-call duties are required (minimum one week per month).

Qualifications

• Two years property maintenance experience in property management or related field is required.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical repairs required.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid Oregon driver’s license (must pass driving record).
• Must read, write and speak English; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions including electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and exterior building maintenance.
• Complete apartment turnovers within budget and on schedule.
• Maintain work order system and verify completion timely.
• Inspect property grounds and identify maintenance issues needing repair or replacement.
• Communicate with maintenance leadership regarding issues at properties.
• Maintain professional appearance and deliver strong customer service to residents, owners, and vendors.
• Foster collaboration across departments.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• On-call for property emergencies (minimum 1 week per month).
• Other duties as assigned.
