Place 2B Properties is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to support residential properties in the Salem/Keizer area. The role requires strong communication and teamwork, with the ability to problem-solve and handle on-site challenges.

The position includes maintenance across multiple trades, apartment turnovers, and on-call shifts. A valid Oregon driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, with bilingual Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of property maintenance experience in property management or related field.

• Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, appliance, carpentry, and exterior maintenance at residential properties.
• Manage apartment turnovers within budget and on schedule.
• Maintain work order system via tablet or computer and verify completion.
• Inspect property grounds and identify maintenance needs.
• Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership about issues.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer service for residents and owners.
• Foster collaboration across departments and with coworkers.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• On-call for property emergencies (minimum 1 week per month).

Job Summary

Place 2B Properties is looking for a full-time motivated and self-driven maintenance technician to join our team servicing residential properties. This position is for the Salem/Keizer and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills and an ability to problem-solve.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Perform various maintenance functions including, but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, exterior building maintenance, etc. which may include both urgent and routine maintenance of property.
• Complete Apartment Turnovers within budget and on schedule.
• Maintain work order system utilizing a tablet and/or computer and provide follow up verification of completion in a timely manner.
• Inspect property grounds; identify issues requiring maintenance, repair or replacement.
• Promptly and effectively communicate with maintenance leadership regarding all maintenance issues located at any given property.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and provide outstanding customer service to all residents, property owners, and vendor partners.
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships between departments and with coworkers.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• On Call for property emergencies. (Minimum of 1 week per month)
• Other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience

• At least two years’ property maintenance experience in the property management industry or related field (Required).
• Knowledge of general maintenance and carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical repairs required.
• Must have reliable means of transportation and valid driver’s license in Oregon. (Must be able to pass a driver's record check)
• Must be able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Work Schedule

• This is a Monday through Friday regular schedule.
• Will be required to be on-call and assist during staffing deficiencies and/or maintenance emergencies.
