Job summary

The Michaels Organization is a national leader in residential real estate offering full-service capabilities across development, property management, construction and investment. This Maintenance Technician role performs maintenance on residential units, including basic electrical and plumbing, painting, carpentry, and grounds work to ensure quality for residents.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of maintenance experience, a High School Diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum maintenance work experience or related field.
• High School Diploma with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, refurbishing and cleaning training or experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical and light plumbing repairs as part of building maintenance.
• Carpentry tasks including doors, shelving, floors, painting and refinishing surfaces.
• Replace broken fixtures and appliances and assist in custodial and grounds work.
• Respond to work orders and resident requests in a timely, professional manner.
• Assist in move-in/out inspections and complete make-ready of vacant units.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance, work orders and inventories.
