Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a range of residential unit repair and upkeep tasks. You will handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and cleaning, while supporting move-in/move-out inspections and make-ready renovations.

Responsibilities include responding to work orders, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with the property management team to ensure timely repairs and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum maintenance work experience or experience in a related field.
• High School Diploma with training in carpentry, light plumbing, electrical, painting, refurbishing and cleaning, air-conditioning.
• Trade School or Military training is a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, and light plumbing work.
• Carpentry duties including doors, windows, shelves, floors, painting.
• Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, fixtures and appliances.
• Assist in custodial and grounds work in common areas.
• Respond to work orders and resident requests promptly.
• Support make-ready process for vacant apartments and inspections.
