Job summary

Simplified Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to deliver hands-on repairs across our Maine portfolio. You will diagnose and complete common trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance work within your scope, while supporting unit turns, preventive maintenance, and inspections.

This role requires initiative, practical troubleshooting, and dependable follow-through from first assessment through repair, testing, documentation, and closeout.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on maintenance or general construction experience preferred.
• Experience in multifamily housing or residential properties preferred.
• Working knowledge of common residential repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, fixtures, locks, appliances).
• Ability to safely and correctly use common hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel between properties.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete common repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, fixtures, locks and appliances.
• Support unit turns, preventive maintenance, and property inspections.
• Exercise initiative, practical troubleshooting, and dependable follow-through from assessment to closeout.
• Document work performed and maintain organized records.
• Coordinate with residents, Property Managers, vendors, and team members.
