Job summary

Greystar is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a property in Seattle. The role involves performing maintenance, completing work orders, and preparing apartments for new move-ins.

The position offers housing discounts of up to 40% at Greystar communities, a cell phone allowance, monthly bonus incentives, and a robust benefits package. The technician will handle preventive maintenance, perform appliance and plumbing tasks, and assist with vendor management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe use and maintenance of hand and power tools and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with painting, basic carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing.
• High level of professionalism in manner and dress.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance per policies and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing and new move-ins, including pre-move-out inspections and vendor scheduling.
• Accesses materials and tools, tracks inventory, and notifies maintenance supervisor for re-ordering.
• Completes documentation to accurately record service requests and repair work.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
