About The Role
The Maintenance Technician maintains the physical condition of the community and provides world-class service to residents. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, making repairs, and completing service requests promptly. You may be eligible for a $500 net sign-on bonus paid in your first paycheck.

About The Maintenance Technician Job Family
This framework structures roles and responsibilities, attracting, retaining, and growing maintenance employees. Levels include: Maintenance Trainee, I, II, III. Each level has specific requirements and training plans to progress.

What You'll Be Doing
Oversee assets and supervise maintenance staff. Maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities, and lighting systems, including inspections and repairs. Coordinate activities with contractors, control inventory, and ensure safety policies are followed. Deliver high resident satisfaction through professional interactions. Work on a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 coverage.

Who We're Looking For
Candidates should have:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 7 years of maintenance experience without certifications or 4 years with EPA 608 Universal
  • Designations or licenses in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance Repair, or Carpentry
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry
  • Ability to diagnose and repair issues
  • Quality control skills
  • Training ability for skill trades
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management
  • Guidance and training skills for junior technicians
  • Completion of required training for Tech III within 15 months
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe record

Physical Demands
Regular use of hands for tools, standing, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, lifting up to 75 lbs. Work occurs indoors and outdoors, interacting with residents and staff.

Work Conditions
Involves maintenance environments and residential properties. Frequently interacts with residents and staff.
