Job summary

AMH is seeking a Field Technician Maintenance to perform repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and ongoing maintenance at our single-family rental properties. You will help ensure homes are safe, functional, and well-maintained, with a focus on HVAC, electrical, and structural tasks.

Responsibilities include handling water heaters, plumbing, carpentry, and roofing tasks, while coordinating with tenants and vendors. Ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in a team is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; technical training is a plus.
• Minimum two years in residential/property maintenance or five years if no degree.
• Valid driver's license and basic tool proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot water heaters, plumbing, garage doors, irrigation, and electrical issues.
• Perform repairs including carpentry, drywall, roofing, and fencing.
• Ensure HVAC systems run reliably and perform tune-ups.
• Keep equipment clean, organized, and safe.
• Update mobile work orders within required timeframes.
• Coordinate with vendors and tenants as needed.
