Coves at Columbus is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to uphold the safety, cleanliness, and comfort of our residential community. You will maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and perform appliance repairs while coordinating with a property management team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication with residents and vendors. This is a full-time, on-site role with after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in residential or apartment settings.
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance issues.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and proactive problem solving.
• Organized, detail oriented, and capable of tracking tasks and inventory.
• Professional communication with residents, staff, and vendors.
• Willingness to rotate after-hours and weekend emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Work order fulfillment: respond to requests, prioritize safety, document work.
• Preventive maintenance: inspect HVAC, plumbing, detectors, and other systems.
• Apartment turnovers: complete make-ready tasks and ensure systems function.
• General repairs and grounds: fix structural issues, maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Inventory and shop organization: manage supplies and label tools.
• Vendor oversight and safety: supervise contractors and enforce OSHA standards.
• Team support: back up teammates and participate in training.
