Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred or prior maintenance experience.
• Training in carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, refurbishing or cleaning.
• Ability to perform general maintenance repairs and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance daily, including bulbs, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Prepares resident apartments for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets, and general maintenance.
• Maintains grounds by mowing, sweeping, trimming trees and shrubs; keep outside areas presentable.
• Assists in coordinating community events.
• Assists in maintenance of resident apartments and common areas.
• Assists Maintenance Director with proper function of emergency systems.
• Assists in transporting and storing resident property.
• Reads, writes, and speaks English sufficiently to fulfill job requirements.
• Makes independent decisions and solves practical problems with various variables.
• Listens actively and evaluates social situations; works with residents and staff.
• Complies with safety policies, infection control, and emergency procedures.
• Follows policies related to resident rights; abuse prevention and confidentiality (HIPPA).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
