Job summary

Cornerstone Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold property upkeep across our communities. You will address resident requests, repair appliances, and perform routine preventive tasks, ensuring safety and compliance.

Typical duties include inspection of vacant units, move-in prep, and occasional grounds work. The role requires on-call availability, weekend hours, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years’ general residential maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local, state, or other regulations.
• Must have reliable transportation, maintain auto insurance, and have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on-call as scheduled and work weekends and after hours as necessary.
• Must be able to pass background and drug screen.
• HVAC Certification.
• LIHTC and HUD experience.
• Pool Certification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident/management service requests for occupied and vacant rental units.
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, and HVAC/electrical systems as needed.
• Repair/replace apartment materials and perform maintenance requests.
• Identify and perform routine preventative maintenance assignments.
• Inspect and repair vacant units and prepare for move-ins.
• Work on-call as scheduled 24/7, weekend shifts, and overtime as necessary.
• Perform tasks and operate machinery in a safe manner per safety procedures.
• Complete grounds work, such as grounds pickup, sweeping, and light landscaping.
• Perform other duties to support property operations.
