Job summary

GC Realty & Development in the Chicago area is seeking skilled handymen and maintenance techs. You’ll diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, doors, windows, and appliances on residential and commercial properties, doing the job right on the first visit.

We offer a strong pay package, weekly pay, a bonus up to 7% monthly based on performance, a $150 weekly gas stipend, health coverage, and additional voluntary benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in residential maintenance; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and general repair.
• EPA, GC license, handyman license, or OSHA 30 are a plus; company can help you obtain.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and appliances on properties.
• Complete each work order on time with the required tools and materials.
• Call dispatch before leaving a site if a job cannot be finished or for any delays.
• Walk properties with inspectors and report safety issues to dispatch.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization for next day’s work.
