Job summary

Fairfield Property Management is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to ensure vacated apartments are restored on schedule and to assist with interior and exterior upkeep of the property.

The role involves make-ready duties, basic plumbing and electrical work, appliance installation, pool maintenance, and general property care in a residential setting. On-call availability and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of professional maintenance experience on a residential property.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and pool maintenance strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and painting procedures.
• Ability to work on-call schedule and respond as needed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated units and complete make-ready checklist.
• Handle make-ready tasks: plumbing, electrical, drywall, screens, bulbs and locks.
• Install appliances and connect hoses; caulking and gutters as needed.
• Replace bulbs and exterior lighting as required.
• Assist with grounds upkeep and debris removal.
• Perform pool maintenance and chemical checks.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Observe property conditions and report unusual issues.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical and major equipment.
• Help maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
