Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role leads Life Skills Trainers and delivers direct services within residence and community settings, supporting client objectives and program goals.

The position requires managing staffing, coaching staff, ensuring documentation accuracy, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations while promoting a respectful, crisis-safe

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in providing direct services in the human services field.
• Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation for individual receiving services.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification as required.
• Travel required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to Life Skills Trainers (LST) in the residence and in the community.
• Provides direct services to program participants.
• Participates in client training to assure client objectives and company goals are achieved.
• Replaces, reassigns, or cancels staffing assignments as needed.
• Facilitates residential staff problem solving and supervision, and initiates corrective actions as required.
• Coordinates and completes incident report investigations for incidents during shifts.
• Assists with staff recruitment and reviewing client progress with supervisors.
• Delivers services such as skills training, job coaching, behavior management per IP and treatment team.
• Ensures adherence to company policies and external regulatory standards.
