Colonial Group is seeking a Residential Lead in Santee to guide the daily operations of a housing team supporting individuals with IDD. You will supervise staff, provide care, and help residents develop skills for greater independence.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and organization, with responsibilities including medication administration and ensuring safety and documentation in a community setting.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.

About the Role:

We are currently hiring a Residential Lead to join our team. You and your team provide care and training to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting – helping with dressing, bathing, cooking food, and transport to their daily activities, teaching them to adopt new skills and improve their independence. Together, you will also go on recreational outings, enjoying life out and about in the community. As the lead, you will assist the supervisor with the daily operations of the house and provide direction, training and support to the other residential specialists.

$21.00 to $21.65

Schedule:

Sun- Thurs 12p-8p

A typical day will include:

• Supporting residents with daily living activities and personal care


• Leading engaging activities that promote independence and socialization


• Administering medications as necessary


• Assisting in training and supporting residential staff


• Ensuring safety, compliance, and accurate documentation

What You’ll Need:

1. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)


2. Must meet, at minimum, one of the following criteria:
   
   
   
   1. Possession of a valid vocational nurse or psychiatric technician license issued by the Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners.
   
   
   2. Completion of at least 30 college or university units in education, social services, behavioral sciences, health sciences, or related fields, AND six (6) months experience providing direct support to developmentally disabled persons.
   
   
   3. Eighteen (18) months experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled person under the supervision of a qualified intellectual disability professional.
   
   
   
   


3. Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
