Job summary

TruGreen is seeking a Residential Lawn Care Technician in Nashville, TN to independently manage a route, apply lawn care treatments, and build relationships with customers throughout the service season.

We offer paid training, company-paid certification where applicable, and a path for growth within the nation's largest lawn care provider. This role requires safety‑minded, outdoor work and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old at time of hire.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to/from work.
• Ability to pass MVR and consent to a criminal background check.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle on an assigned route (DOT certification may be required).
• Apply lawn care treatments to residential and commercial properties.
• Identify customer needs and recommend solutions and additional services.
• Manage route and customer information using a tablet.
• Build relationships with customers and deliver exceptional service.
• Work outdoors in a fast-paced, independent environment safely.

What You'll Do

What To Expect

This is a physically active role that includes:

• Walking an average 10-12 miles outdoors throughout the day
• Lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Operating equipment safely
• Serving multiple customers each day

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of hire
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to pass MVR and comfortable consenting to a criminal background check
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable, self‑motivated, customer‑focused mindset
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
