What you’ll be doing:
- Reporting to customers’ homes and businesses on time with the necessary knowledge of the work to be done.
- Educating customers on system use, maintenance tips, and damage prevention; providing insights and professional suggestions for optimizing system function. Advising on additional services that may benefit customers.
- Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing/replacing wiring, outlets, fixtures, panels, etc.
- Utilizing various tools, including electrical hand-tools, saws, drills, circuit testing equipment, etc.
- Determining service requirements by applying technical skills and experience, including performance standards and preventive maintenance.
- Completing all work processes while maintaining safe working conditions and personal safety.
- Supervising and mentoring Apprentice Electricians as needed.
- Documenting the outcome of each work order in detail.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Successful Candidate Must Possess the Following Qualifications:
- A desire to be part of a winning team
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of equipment, tools, and methods used in electrical services
- Knowledge of code requirements and safety practices related to electrical work
- Accurate diagnostics skills
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to clients
- Computer skills relevant to plumbing duties, such as timekeeping, customer billing, and credit card payments
- Applicable state and local electrical licenses
- This position is considered safety-sensitive; successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check is required.
