Job description

The Licensed Electrician will install and maintain electrical systems in a safe and efficient manner, and according to the National Electrical Code. This position will have a strong emphasis on troubleshooting equipment and systems typically found in an industrial environment. Applicants may supervise up to three Apprentice Electricians at a given time, and may be asked to serve as the Jobsite Foreman on construction projects. This position is required to professionally and effectively interact with the customer.


This is a Full Time position and will be eligible for company benefits, such as health insurance, retirement IRA account with company match, paid holidays, paid vacation/sick leave, company tools, and paid continuing education expenses.


Requirements and Responsibilities:
  1. Hold a Journeyman or Electrical Contractor License with the Nebraska Electrical Board
  2. Maintain a safe work environment, for yourself and those working with you
  3. Hold a valid Drivers License
  4. Have ownership and a sense of pride in your work, and those you oversee
  5. Troubleshoot circuits, controls, and instrumentation, and make repairs as needed
  6. Operate power tools such as threaders, benders, tuggers, drills, etc.
  7. Operate excavating equipment such as trenchers, excavators, skidloaders, aerial lifts, etc.
  8. Measure, calculate, bend and thread metallic conduit
  9. Pull wire and cable through raceways, either manually or with tugging equipment
  10. Lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds
  11. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolds
  12. Read, understand, sketch, and modify electrical schematics
  13. Terminate circuit and control wiring, from low voltage to 480 VAC
  14. Supervise, coach, and train Apprentice Electricians
  15. Work indoors, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  16. Work at heights, such as on top of a grain elevator
  17. Ability to work long hours as needed
  18. Travel to jobsites in the Nebraska area as needed
  19. Effectively and professionally communicate with customers and other company employees
