Job summary

Woodfin – Your Home Team is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician for the night shift in Richmond, VA. The role involves repairing and upgrading residential HVAC systems including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and thermostats. Hours are 2:00-10:00PM, Monday–Friday, with on-call time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair residential HVAC equipment.
• Safety-conscious with strong customer service skills.
• Fluent English speaking and writing.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Able to work irregular and extended hours including on-call.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems in heating/air conditioning systems to identify repair or replacement needs.
• Inspect HVAC equipment and components to evaluate condition and identify repairs.
• Install HVAC equipment and systems to provide enhanced capabilities.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure ongoing operation of HVAC systems.
• Repair HVAC systems and components (pumps, motors, air handlers, etc.).
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment for availability and safety.
• Prepare written status updates and work orders for customers and supervisors.
• Coordinate with other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies to resolve safety concerns.
