Job summary

Woodfin – Your Home Team in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician (night shift) to diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and thermostats. This full-time role runs 2:00-10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with on-call time as needed.

You will install, maintain, and upgrade HVAC equipment, perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with other trades, and document job status for customers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently attending or graduated from HVAC training program.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
• Able to work irregular and extended hours, including on-call.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems in heating/air conditioning systems to identify repair needs.
• Inspect HVAC systems and components to evaluate condition and preventive maintenance.
• Install heating and cooling equipment to provide upgraded capabilities.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure ongoing operation.
• Repair heating and air conditioning systems and components.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment for availability and safety.
• Prepare written materials documenting job status for customers and supervisors.
• Coordinate with other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Respond to emergency situations during or after hours.
