Job summary
The College of Coastal Georgia is seeking an HVAC Technician-Residential at its Brunswick campus. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems such as PTACs, mini-splits, and heat pumps, with essential personnel designation and campus housing facilities responsibility.
The candidate will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs while ensuring resident comfort and safety.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification.
- Valid driver’s license with clean record.
- Pass background check and drug screening.
- Three years of residential or light commercial HVAC experience.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems including PTACs and mini-splits.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
- Adjust thermostats and replace worn or defective components.
- Respond to service calls and coordinate with external vendors for complex repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory of parts and supplies.
- Assist with general housing and facilities tasks as needed.
