Job summary

Georgia Tech in Atlanta is seeking a Maintenance HVAC Technician who will perform basic installation and maintenance of components used in campus HVAC systems, including chilled water, refrigeration, and related equipment. The role requires journeyman level skills and regular interaction with maintenance staff and vendors.

You will diagnose, repair, and calibrate controls, read prints and schematics, operate tools and vehicles, and participate in after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or vocational diploma required.
• Two years of job related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, replace, operate, maintain, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot HVAC components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and digital controls.
• May require purchasing HVAC parts and materials.
• May require working with specialized computer applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
