Job summary

Augusta University in Georgia is seeking a skilled HVACR Technician within Facilities Services. The role performs routine corrective repairs and preventative maintenance on building HVACR equipment under supervision, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, and controls, and supports on-call coverage as needed.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver's license; knowledge of HVACR theory, reading blueprints, and safe work practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accredited organization or vocational training in HVACR.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly, mid-annual, and annual preventive maintenance on Augusta University HVAC equipment per manufacturer requirements.
• Respond to work orders quickly; communicate status and any further work needed.
• Exercise leadership by applying critical thinking and effectively communicating with Facilities Operations.
• Estimate materials and document time and materials for each work order; read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Communicate with supervisor about future work to keep all Augusta University equipment operating.
• Perform other duties as assigned and coordinate with scheduled contractors.
