Job summary

MVP Air Conditioning, Heating, Plumbing & Electrical is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Kansas to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems. You will perform service calls, educate homeowners, document findings, and uphold safety standards while delivering outstanding customer service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of HVAC experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• HVAC degree, certification, or equivalent field experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of residential HVAC service experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of residential heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate HVAC tools and service instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training programs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and indoor air quality equipment.
• Perform service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Educate homeowners on system operation, maintenance best practices, and energy-saving opportunities.
• Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly and professionally with customers.
• Accurately document service calls, repairs, and recommended solutions.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a safe and organized manner.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and industry standards.
• Participate in company meetings, manufacturer training, and ongoing professional development. Perform other duties as assigned.
