Job summary

Eco in Ohio is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician focused on service rather than sales, educating residential clients about their systems and proactive solutions. You will maintain homes comfortably and build trust through expert workmanship.

Expect 8–10 hour shifts, five days a week, on-call rotations, and potential out-of-state training. EPA certification preferred; a valid toolkit and strong communication skills are required to thrive in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proven residential HVAC experience with a drive to be a better technician tomorrow than you are today.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Solid knowledge of local HVAC codes.
• Must possess the necessary tools to do the job.
• Strong verbal communicator who can explain system needs to clients.
• Ability to learn and navigate iPad software for daily operations.
• Team player who thrives independently but wins as a team.
• Fully aligned with company mission and policies.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
• Shifts 8–10 hours a day, 5 days a week; rotates on-call; possible weekend/evening work.
• Occasional out-of-state travel for required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on products, services, and potential system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on residential HVAC systems with top-tier workmanship.
• Establish strong customer rapport and deliver a professional experience.
• Meet and exceed key performance requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and truck with adequate stock.
• Actively participate in team meetings and manager sessions.
• Debrief with dispatch after each job; review time cards for accuracy.
• Report vehicle or equipment shortages/damages to the warehouse.
• Adapt to physical activity across climate and weather conditions.
