Job summary

St. John's Heating & Air in Ooltewah, TN is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Tech to diagnose and repair furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps, perform preventative maintenance, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Salary ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 yearly based on experience, with a 40+ hour schedule and overtime as needed. Benefits include a company vehicle, health, dental and vision insurance, 401K with company match, paid holidays, and training.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently and deliver quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
• Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups.
• Inspect HVAC systems to identify performance and safety concerns.
• Recommend repair or replacement options meeting customer needs.
• Test electrical components, controls, refrigerant circuits, and airflow.
• Document service work accurately and maintain organized vehicle and inventory.
• Provide exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally.

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record
• At least two years of residential HVAC service experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration principles, and HVAC controls
• EPA Certification preferred
• Ability to work independently and efficiently throughout the day
• Own standard HVAC hand tools
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Professional attitude with a commitment to quality workmanship

What You'll Do
