Job summary

Airtron Heating & Air Conditioning is hiring HVAC service technicians to maintain and repair heating and air equipment in residential settings across our service areas. You will inspect ductwork, identify wiring, perform start-ups, and troubleshoot to ensure systems operate correctly.

Qualifications

• :High school diploma or GED, required for employment.
• :1 HVAC service experience, required minimum 1+ year
• EPA Certification required for service technicians
• Solder/Brazing skills needed for piping and connections
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Must communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Basic computing skills; comfortable using a computer/tablet
• Proficient navigating internet and email
• Valid driver’s license required
• Overtime with little notice; weekend work may be required

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heating and air equipment.
• Inspect and maintain ducting and company materials/equipment within a serviceable condition.
• Identify, wire, and start-up complete residential systems.
• Troubleshoot, recommend, and resolve/repair all issues to keep equipment functioning properly.
• May perform start-ups, testing & recording results for each system during start-up to ensure proper operation.
• Perform proper inspection of system and inform dispatch/customer of any outstanding concerns.
• Explain each service and repair performed to dispatch/customer.
• Coordinate with office for day-to-day work schedule.
• Facilitate orders for all parts required for appointments and ensure preparedness for the day of service.
• Transport parts, materials and tools to the job site and account for assigned items.
• Complete paperwork/tablet neatly and timely as required.
• Debrief all service(s) with dispatch/customer after each service call with documentation.
• Inspect area for cleanliness after job completion.
• Maintain company vehicle; keep it clean and organized.
• Abide by company standards of performance and ethics.
• Maintain a courteous demeanor with customers and colleagues.
• Ensure footwear has protective floor savers in homes.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
